Setting the Record: The trafficking of migrant women in the England and Wales off-street prostitution sector

Association of Chief Police Officers

Police research into the nature and scale of trafficking in England and Wales, focussing on off-street prostitution. The study, which takes its results from interviews with over 200 migrant women working in prostitution, has been widely criticised for underestimating the problem, for example in failing to find any trafficked African women despite support services for such women being full to capacity.
