Very Young Girls

Documentary following staff and servive users at GEMS (Girls' Education and Mentoring Services), a prostitution recovery centre in New York. Examines the reasons the young women and girls ended up in prostitution, their relationships with the men who exploit them, the help they receive from GEM and their hopes for the future.

Following the release of this film the law, which had previously criminalised under-age prostitutes, was changed.
