The VIP (Violence is Preventable) project, run by 18 and Under, produces a range of resources to tackle violence and abuse and encourage disclosures. Wee VIP is for children aged 2-7; Tweenees is for 6-13s; and Teen VIP for 12-18s. Some resources are available in Kurdish and Arabic, and some have been adapted for people who are visually or hearing impaired or have learning difficulties.

I have used these resources
I have used these resources and must say that they are excellent. I believe that this is the only prevention programme in the world that has been evaluated at a disclosure level, and clear evidence showsit leads to disclosures, ... it works which is enlightening. The programme tackles all issues of violence from the cradle to the grave so to speak. It teaches our youngsters alternatives to violence. I have also been made aware of the new Kurdish DVD which tackles many issues faced with ethnic minority women. I will be using this resource once it is available. I have also been told that this small charity are now looking at Domestic Violence in same sex relationships. I am really pleased to see that not only has the Violence is preventable project been recognised as priceless by the World Health Organisation, but now other small charities and womens groups are now looking to them for their expertise in this subject. Well done to all for joining forces and working together to erradicate this pandemic.... Well done.
