In 2008/09, the Equality and Human Rights Commission funded a project in Highland to explore the issues that women from equalities groups faced when accessing services for experiences of Violence Against Women.
This was a project led by the Violence Against Women support services in Highland on behalf of the multi-agency partnership. The final report, "Women's Voices", has been considered by the Violence Against Women Training Group in Highland and we are now focusing on building relationships between ourselves and faith communities and trans organisations to raise awareness of Violence Against Women and to support organisations to be able to respond to the issues.
