The Scottish Gender-Based Violence Research Network has launched

September 1st saw the launch of the Scottish Gender–Based Violence Research Network, which links researchers doing gender-based violence work, and connects them to practitioners through the VAW Prevention Network.

The launch event was attended by over fifty researchers and practitioners from all over Scotland, and there was a real buzz about the opportunities the network provides for practitioners and researchers to benefit from, and inform, each others' work.

Volunteer role – Zero Tolerance/VAW Prevention Network media project

Zero Tolerance are currently working with Scottish Women’s Aid to produce a guide for the media on responsible reporting of violence against women (VAW) issues, entitled ‘Handle with Care’. We aim to publish this in September or October 2010, in time for the 16 days of action on VAW which runs from 25 November to 10 December.

Zero Tolerance and the Women's Support Project are launching 'Money and Power', our new DVD and resource pack on commercial sexual exploitation, on September 29th
