An exciting opportunity has been created within The Reduce Abuse Project, part of West Dunbartonshire Violence Against Women Partnership (WDVAWP).
The Project is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic worker to help support the Project Coordinator in the development and delivery of domestic abuse and gender-based violence prevention sessions within educational, early years and youth settings in West Dunbartonshire. The post is funded through the Fairer Scotland Fund for 15 months. Ideally you will be able to engage young people through creative and innovative approaches. You will also be responsible for undertaking joint work with other members of the WDVAWP team and to undertake multi-agency working with local partner agencies.
You will have an SVQ level 4 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or HNC Working with Communities or equivalent relevant qualification in youth work, training or similar and/or two years experience working in a related field. You will have an understanding of partnership working, be an excellent communicator with good ICT skills and have an approachable and friendly manner.
Interviews for this post will be held on 18th May 2010.
This post would be suitable for a secondment with applicant’s line management approval.
