Stirling marches again!

Wednesday, 6th June, 2012

The annual Stirling White Ribbon March is taking place on Monday 11th June.

The White Ribbon Campaign is a campaign to involve men in tackling violence against women.

Since the inception of the march some years ago Stirling has taken steps to become Scotland's first White Ribbon Local Authority. A resolution was passed at the Council's Executive meeting in January 2011 which led to the White Ribbon Award being granted in May the same year.

Participants will meet at Stirling Castle at 6.30pm and march through the town centre to raise awareness and show solidarity with the campaign to end men's violence against women. After proceeding from the Castle Esplanade through the city,  the march will end with a rally at Stirling's Council Headquarters at Old Viewforth.

This is a great chance for men, women, and children in Stirling to take part in a unique community event.
Show that you support the campaign - march for equality!

VOLUNTEER STEWARDS REQUIRED. Due to the numbers expected the WRC will need more stewards than before. If you are available to attend and wish to help then please get in touch with callum@whiteribbonscotland.org.uk.
