The Women’s National Commission is collecting Partners’ views on the impact of both the Emergency Budget and the Comprehensive Spending Review on individual women, women’s organisations and services to women.
We are seeking to use this information to inform Ministers and key Departments to help them conduct full and meaningful Gender Equality Impact Assessments on their decisions. This does not of course mean that difficult funding decisions will not have to be made, but we hope that it will inform government of any disproportionate negative impact on women.
We are, therefore, asking you for any information, views, or research you have on the impact of both the Emergency Budget and Comprehensive Spending Review. We would also like to hear any positive ways you have to suggest, either to lessen the negative impact, or advance equality for women which the current financial climate has created.
Please send your views to the Women’s National Commission. by Friday 3rd September. We apologise for conducting this over the holiday period, but this is to ensure that it is completed in advance of the Comprehensive Spending Review announcement.
