ENDPROSTITUTIONNOW – new campaign launched

Glasgow City Council has launched a new campaign which aims to raise awareness of the harm caused through prostitution. The campaign puts the focus firmly on the buyers of sex, who create the demand, and who have been invisible for too long.

Legislation which criminalises the purchase, advertising and facilitation of sex is needed as a matter of urgency and it is proposed that we follow the example of Sweden, Norway and Iceland which have introduced legislation to address the growth in prostitution and trafficking.
