Thursday, 8th April, 2010

On March 23rd, Ann Hamilton of Glasgow Community Safety Services took the End Prostitution Now campaign’s message to the Scottish Parliament.

She spoke in support of Trish Godman MSP’s amendments to make it a criminal offence to engage in, advertise or facilitate paid-for sexual activity.

Representatives of SCOTPEP and the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland, spoke against the amendment.

The amendments will be voted on by MSPs when the Criminal Justice and Licensing Bill reaches its final stage of parliamentary scrutiny.
