The Crown Proecution Service are currently inviting submissions on their public policy statement on human trafficking. Their policy document sets out the role of the CPS in making decisions in prosecutions, from deciding whether to charge someone with a criminal offence to what that charge or those charges should be. It also explain how they work with the police and other investigators in case building and their role in supporting and protecting victims and witnesses through the process. The consultation document can be found here.
