Call for better training for journalists on the “myths and realities” of violence against women.

Marai  Larasi Co-Chair of the End Violence Against Women Coalition, and a witness for the Leveson inquiry, highlights the importance of providing better training for journalists on the "myths and realities" of violence  against women citing the Zero Tolerance, Handle With Care: Guide to responsible media reporting of violence against women.

Writing for the Guardian she outlined recommendations that bolstering the press complaints commission will give women's groups the opportunity to freely express their interest in the free-press and challenge assumptions, in particularly blame culture evident in reporting of violence against women.
