Crush – formerly known as ‘A Big Boy Did It and Ran Away’ (for use in secondary schools) has been made into a screenplay along with ‘Gold Stars and Dragon Marks’ (a primary school resource). The resources cover issues of bullying, impacts of domestic abuse and teen abuse.
This is the next stage in the ‘Why Create a Drama?’ Project funded by the Scottish Government and co-ordinated by the National Children and Young People’s Prevention Network. The original performances were developed by Baldy Bane Theatre Company with input from children and Young people across Scotland, and the DVDs have been produced by Soundsmove Productions.
The DVDs will be accompanied by a resource pack to support teachers and youth work staff to raise awareness of issues with children and young people.
Baldy Bane are touring the live performances of ‘Crush’ and ‘Gold Stars and Dragon Marks’ during the 16 days of Activism to Eliminate Violence Against Women. Please contact the Theatre Company if you would like to make a booking on 0141 632 0193
