Cedar Project

Role/remit

Works with children and their mothers recovering from domestic abuse.  Offers separately groupwork for the children and their mothers to understand who is responsible for the abuse and to offer insight and understanding.  Gives safety planning.  Helps build self-esteem and empowerment.

Services for:

  • Children aged 4 – 16.
  • Mothers of children to support them going through group recovery.

Prevention work: primary and secondary

Risk assessment and safety planning.
