Role/remit

Community safety officer co-ordinates the Shetland Domestic Abuse Partnership.

Services for:

Community safety officer responsible for a number of different partnerships relating to a number of community safety issues, and provides a service to the whole Shetland community.

Prevention work: secondary

Awareness raising campaigns via local media and through “Survival Card”; and training.
Promoting the services available, both locally and nationally, to survivors of domestic abuse.

Evaluation of prevention work

Feedback questionnaires handed in after the training courses are completed, however no formal evaluation has been carried out on awareness raising campaigns and the survival cards which signpost survivors to services both locally and nationally.
