Prevention Network Funding Development Day

Following our Evaluating Prevention development day in May, Zero Tolerance is organising a second development day for Prevention Network members on the topic of funding prevention.

The event will take place from 10am-4pm on Wednesday June 23rd at the Albany Centre in Glasgow and lunch is provided. The event is free for members but booking is essential and places are limited.

Understanding the Dynamics of Domestic Abuse

Forced Marriage: Responding Effectively

The Forced Marriage etc. (Protection and Jurisdiction) (Scotland) Act was passed by the Scottish Parliament on 22 March 2011 to provide a specific civil remedy for those threatened with forced marriage and those already in such a marriage. The Act received Royal Assent on 27 April 2011 and came into force on 28 November 2011.

Managing and Maintaining Professional Boundaries in Support Work

Working in the caring professions can pose unique challenges, particularly when professional roles encompass caring, therapeutic and legislative dimensions. What can happen when service users come to view support workers as “part of the family”? Or when a worker’s compassion leads them to become over-involved or enmeshed? Or excessive and target led case loads lead workers to become alienated and rigid in their day to day tasks?
